  2. Click on "Request a new account" under "New Participant?" on the bottom left of the screen.
  3. You must use your SJU email to register at this site.
  4. It is crucial that you select the correct course for your CEP credits. If you are enrolled in 2 or more 1000-level psychology classes, be sure to click on option "1. I am enrolled in 2+ 1000-level psych couses". If you don't select this option, your credits will be mis-attributed.
  5. Click on "Request Account" to submit your information
  6. Your login and password will be emailed to the SJU account you listed.
  7. Go back to http://sju.sona-systems.com and log in with this information.
  8. After you log in, you will be taken to a main page where you can sign up for studies, track your schedule and credits, and change your password.
  9. Click on "My Profile" and note your Identity Code. It should be a 5-digit number listed just under your name. You will be identified and credited in the CEP system using this code. Please memorize it or have it on hand to provide to experimenters when you show up for studies.

If you've done CEP before, we have switched to Sona Systems. As a result, you will need to create a new account. Please follow directions above to set up your new account.

To cancel a scheduled appointment:

  1. Log in at http://sju.sona-systems.com
  2. Click on the My Schedule and Credits link on the main page or from the top toolbar.
  3. You will see listed all the studies you have signed up for, as well as those you have completed. Studies you have signed up for that you are allowd to cancel will have a Cancel button next to them. You must cancel your appointment at least 1 hour before the appointment or you will not be able to cancel the appointment and will be penalized 1 CEP credit.
  4. A confirmation page will appear and let you know if canceling this appointment will affect your ability to participate in another study you are signed up for. If this is the case, it is your responsibility to cancel the dependent study as well. The system will warn you, but will not block your cancellation.
  5. Click Yes to cancel your sign-up and the sign-up will be cancelled immediately.
  6. If you cancel the first part of a two-part study, the second part will also be cancelled. If you cancel the second part of a two-part study, the first part will not be cancelled but you will need to ask the researcher to sign you up for the second part again, if you would like to participate in it at a later date.

If you want to complete CEP credit by writing lecture/article summaries:
